Summer 2 Newsletter

So we have reached the final half term! Now that SATs are over, we really hope that we can have an enjoyable final half term with some exciting events happening.

Year 5 & 6 Performances
We will be doing our performance of “Reach for the Sky” on Friday 22 July and Monday 25 July. The performance on 25 July will be the main “leavers’” performance so priority will be given to Year 6 parents for that performance. However if you are unable to attend on that day, you are very welcome to come on 22 July instead. We have arranged these dates so that the children going to Heritage will still be able to perform. We will send ticket details home shortly.

We will also need to sort costumes out for the children in the next few weeks. They will be fairly simple – lots of “sports wear”. If anyone has any “Team GB” tops from London 2012 that would be very useful.

I am hoping to organise an after school rehearsal on 12 July which hopefully the Heritage children will be able to attend as well. Again further details will be send out in the coming weeks.

Homework

Your child will receive homework every Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday. This term there will be a mixture of usual maths homework and more creative homework.

Water Bottles
Children are encouraged to bring drinks bottles to school with water so they can have a drink in class.

PE Kit
We have had a lot of children forgetting their PE kits recently. As we will be spending quite a lot of time practising for the summer performance, please ensure that your child has their kit in every day so that we can go out when we get the opportunity.

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to come and see me.
