About Our School
Barlborough Primary School aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment where children are motivated to learn, are valued as individuals and encouraged to reach their full potential. In 2019, Ofsted rated the School as “good”.
The School has a main listed building which is more than 100 years old but remains in remarkably good condition and there is a more recent school building that was extended in December 2008.
There are approximately 200 children at the School in 7 classes.
Barlborough Primary School is at the heart of the local community and has a strong Parent Teacher Association which exists to provide closer links between home and school and to raise money for projects which benefit the pupils.

Reception and Year 1 Year 2 Years 3 to 6
Morning Session - 8.50am. - 12.00pm. 8:50 - 12:00pm 8:55 - 12:05
Afternoon Session - 1.00pm. - 3.10pm. 1:00 - 3:20pm 1:00 - 3:25pm
Total 6 hrs 20 mins per day Total 6 hrs 30 mins per day Total 6 hrs 30 mins per day
From September 2023 the hours will be:
Reception and Year 1 Year 2 Years 3 to 6
